Your baby is here — and those tiny, sleepy, curled-up newborn days are already passing. A newborn photoshoot is one of the most meaningful things you can do in those early weeks, creating images you will return to again and again as the years go by.
I'm Kayleigh, a specialist newborn and family photographer based in Godalming, Surrey — around 20 minutes from Farnham via the A31. I regularly welcome families from Farnham, Wrecclesham, Rowledge, Boundstone and the wider Waverley area to my studio, and it would be a privilege to photograph your new arrival.

My home studio in Godalming is specifically designed with newborns in mind. It's kept warm throughout the session, softly lit, and free from the noise and busyness of a commercial studio. From the moment you arrive, the aim is for you to feel completely at ease — tea in hand, no rushing, no pressure.

A booking deposit of £150 secures your date. The remaining balance is only due once you've seen and fallen in love with your images — I never charge for photos you haven't had the chance to view first.

When to book - advice for Farnham Parents?
Newborn sessions work best in the first two to three weeks of life, when babies tend to sleep deeply and settle into those naturally curled poses that make newborn photography so beautiful. Because sessions are in such high demand, I recommend getting in touch during your pregnancy — from around 28 weeks is ideal — so I can hold a provisional slot around your due date.
Once your baby arrives, we'll confirm a date that works for your family. I build flexibility into every booking, because babies have their own plans and due dates are just a guide.
If your little one has already arrived and you're worried you've left it too late — please don't be. I photograph babies beyond the newborn stage regularly, and there are beautiful images to be captured at every age. Get in touch and let's chat.
Can my older children come along?
Yes, and I'd encourage it. Some of the most treasured images from a newborn session are the ones showing a big brother or sister meeting their new sibling. I'm experienced with children of all ages and will make sure they feel part of the session rather than an afterthought.
How long does a newborn or baby session last?
Newborn and baby sessions are completely baby-led and typically last up to 3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling.
For older babies, sessions are often shorter and more playful, but still relaxed and unhurried.
What should we bring to the session?
Just yourselves and your baby. I supply all wraps, props, blankets and accessories — there's no need to buy or prepare anything. Do bring your usual feeding supplies and perhaps a spare babygrow, but otherwise I'll take care of everything.
Where do newborn and baby sessions take place?
Sessions take place in my calm, cosy home studio in Godalming, Surrey, which is fully equipped and kept warm for babies of all ages.
Everything is designed to help you feel relaxed and looked after from the moment you arrive.
Do you offer outdoor sessions for Farnham families?
My newborn sessions take place in the controlled warmth and calm of my studio, which is the safest environment for very young babies. However, for older babies and family sessions, I do offer beautiful outdoor shoots in and around the Surrey and Hampshire countryside. The heathland and woodland around the Farnham area makes for a stunning backdrop.
What if my baby won't sleep during the session?
This is more common than you might think, and it's absolutely not a problem. Awake babies give us wonderful opportunities — eye contact, expressions, and those alert, curious looks that are just as beautiful as a sleeping pose. I adapt the session to wherever your baby is on the day.
How far is your studio from Farnham?
My studio in Godalming is approximately 13 miles from Farnham town centre — an easy 20-minute drive via the A31 and A3100. There's free parking right outside, so you don't need to worry about arriving with a car full of baby kit.
What's the best route from Farnham to your studio?
The most straightforward route is via the A31 east towards Guildford, then the A3100 through Godalming. It's a pleasant, easy drive through the Surrey countryside — many Farnham families tell me it felt no distance at all once they were on their way.
